Role Summary:

The Plumbing Systems Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of plumbing infrastructure within various facilities. This encompasses the integration of fire suppression systems, sanitary drainage, venting solutions, and both hot and cold water distribution systems. Projects typically span sectors such as correctional facilities, institutional buildings, and municipal projects. Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize expertise in building codes and industry standards to create effective plumbing system designs.
  • Collaborate with team members to design piping and plumbing systems.
  • Conduct site assessments to evaluate existing plumbing conditions.
  • Develop schematic design reports and project scope documents.
  • Estimate construction costs accurately.
  • Prepare comprehensive construction documentation, including layout drawings, diagrams, equipment lists, and specifications.
  • Analyze contractor cost estimates and bid submissions.
  • Review construction submittals to ensure adherence to contract specifications.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Indiana Building Codes and the International Mechanical/Plumbing Code is essential.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit software.
