Key Responsibilities:
Consultative assessment and development of plans for wound treatment based on NPIAP guidelines and hospital wound care policy.
Provide advanced wound care treatment, including mist therapy, wound vac initiation and maintenance, and sharp debridement when appropriate.
Develop and coordinate hospital care for new and existing ostomy patients.
Establish standards of care and clinical competencies to meet patient needs and provide training to ensure clinical expertise.
Collaborate with bedside nursing staff and medical staff to deliver appropriate care and competency to patients with wounds and ostomies.
Provide education regarding wounds, wound care, and treatment, wound prevention, and ostomy care to staff, patients, caregivers, and other providers as needed.
Participate in fulfilling the mission of the hospital.
