As a Private Duty Nurse, you will be responsible for implementing the patient's prescribed plan of care, conducting patient assessments, and coordinating care with the patient's healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Implement the patient's prescribed plan of care, including administering medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by the patient's physician.
- Conduct regular patient assessments to identify changes in the patient's condition and report these changes to the patient's physician and healthcare team.
- Coordinate care with the patient's healthcare team, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide education and training to the patient's family members on how to care for the patient at home.
- Document all care provided in the patient's medical record, including any changes in the patient's condition or care plan.
- Active, unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in the state where you will be practicing.
- Current CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
- TB skin test (current within the last 12 months).
- At least six months of prior hands-on nursing experience, preferably in pediatrics or home health care.
- Reliable transportation.
