Your Responsibilities:


As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation process by executing follow-up treatments based on the care plan established by the supervising Physical Therapist.


Key Duties:

  • Keep the supervising Physical Therapist informed of any changes in patient conditions.
  • Document patient treatments, progress, and assessments during each visit.
  • Guide patients through personalized exercise regimens, adhering to established protocols.
  • Educate patients on gait training and the proper use of assistive devices.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program.
  • Valid Florida State Licensure.
  • CPR certification is mandatory.

Job Summary:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will closely collaborate with the lead Physical Therapist to deliver rehabilitative services to patients. Your role will involve assisting in the execution of treatment plans, conducting therapeutic exercises, and monitoring patient progress, all crucial for helping individuals regain mobility and manage pain through various physical therapy techniques.


Responsibilities:
  • Assist in developing and implementing tailored treatment plans under the supervision of the lead Physical Therapist.
  • Conduct therapeutic exercises to enhance patients' strength, flexibility, and range of motion.
  • Monitor and document patient progress throughout therapy sessions.
  • Educate patients on proper exercise techniques and activities.
  • Provide encouragement and support to patients during their rehabilitation journey.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment.
  • Comply with all HIPAA regulations and guidelines.
Experience Required:
  • Familiarity with medical terminology.
  • Experience in orthopedic and outpatient settings.
  • Understanding of anatomy and physiology.
  • Knowledge of outpatient rehabilitation practices.
  • Strong background in patient care.


This position requires physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to assist patients as needed. Employees may be exposed to infectious diseases and must adhere to safety protocols.
