Job SummaryThis position provides comprehensive nutrition services to dialysis patients and caregivers in a clinical setting, focusing on maximizing nutritional well-being and supporting patients with end-stage renal disease.
Key Responsibilities- Assess nutritional status and develop individualized Medical Nutrition Therapy plans, including meal plans and education.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to patients and caregivers, tailoring approaches to individual needs and circumstances.
- Monitor nutritional status, laboratory values, and dialysis adequacy, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with the medical team, nursing staff, and other patient care team members to ensure effective care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to nutrition care.
- Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian status with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- State licensure in Maryland or the state where the facility is located.
- Minimum of two years' professional experience in clinical nutrition as a Registered Dietitian.
- Preferred experience working in dialysis settings.
