Qualifications:

For Educators:

A combination of experience and educational background is necessary. Qualified candidates may possess:

  • A CDA (Child Development Associate) or a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Relevant coursework or training in early childhood development.
  • 12-24 months of experience in a licensed childcare setting.

For Caregivers (Infant/Toddler Educators):

A blend of experience and training is required. Caregiver candidates may have:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 12 College Credits in Early Childhood Education or 30 hours of Infant/Toddler Development Training.
  • 12-24 months of experience in a licensed childcare program with children under 36 months.

For Teacher Assistants:

A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Candidates should be willing to obtain First Aid & CPR/AED Certification (training provided). No prior experience is necessary; all training will be provided for enthusiastic new team members.

A Typical Day:

As a Teacher or Assistant, your day may include:

  • Welcoming children and families as they arrive and depart.
  • Implementing engaging activities from our curriculum that promote young children's development.
  • Reading stories and singing with the children.
  • Encouraging outdoor play and physical activity.
  • Enjoying meals after creative activities.
  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of all children.
  • Communicating with families about their children's daily experiences.
  • Preparing the classroom for the next day's activities.
  • Leaving each day with the satisfaction of knowing you made a positive impact.
