Role Summary:
The Sandwich Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional service to customers, preparing food items, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, and managing light administrative tasks. A strong emphasis on customer satisfaction is crucial in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in placing their orders.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of menu offerings and accurately communicate this information to customers.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale system to process transactions, including recording orders and handling payments.
  • Execute cash handling procedures, ensuring accurate accounting of all monetary transactions during shifts.
  • Prepare food items according to established recipes and within specified timeframes.
  • Monitor inventory levels in the sandwich preparation area and replenish supplies as necessary.
  • Adhere to all food handling, safety, and sanitation protocols during food preparation and service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all restaurant areas to uphold a positive image.
  • Follow quality standards and operational procedures as outlined in the company manual.
  • Exhibit professional appearance and grooming in accordance with company standards.
  • Complete assigned administrative tasks as needed.
  • Participate in training programs as directed.

Qualifications:

  • No prior experience is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must be capable of working in various areas of the restaurant and operating a computerized Point of Sale system.
  • Position involves bending, standing, and walking throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 30 pounds.
