CNC Machinist

Your key responsibilities will include planning, developing, writing, revising, documenting, testing, implementing, and controlling programs for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines and related fixturing.
You'll also be responsible for preparing machine/process setup and operating instructions, designing and/or manufacturing jigs and fixtures from sketches, requirement descriptions, or drawings, and providing support, training, and problem resolution to operations personnel who use computer numerically controlled machines.
Additionally, you'll liaise with engineering regarding component repairs, inspection, and induction of new repairs, monitor performance, conduct feasibility studies, and implement process improvements for computer numerically controlled machines.
You'll also prepare technical specifications and cost-benefit analysis for procurement of capital equipment and liaise with management in the procurement process.
As a CNC Programmer at StandardAero, you'll be responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
You'll also carry out special projects as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you'll need a thorough understanding of repair design and development engineering manufacturing process, tool design, and fabrication methods and processes.
You'll also need strong organizational, analytical, and oral and written communication skills, as well as a thorough knowledge of computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) systems.
Master-CAM is a plus, and prior experience as a machinist or toolmaker is preferred.
A high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience are required.
Experience with Microsoft Office is a plus, and a college diploma in manufacturing technology or a related discipline is also a plus.
As a US Citizen or a US Permanent Resident, you'll be eligible to work on ITAR-regulated projects.
