The American Red Cross is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Mission Leader to join our team in West Kentucky. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supporting region-led mission capacity building, informing the regional leadership team of community needs and perceptions, and strengthening relationships across all elements of the community by communicating the American Red Cross programs, capabilities and opportunities for community involvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Serves as the Face of the Red Cross: Maximizes Red Cross presence and connectivity in the community, expanding the community's recognition of the breadth of the Red Cross contribution to the community.
- Develops Sustained Community Relationships: Ensures capacity to achieve region mission goals by developing and maintaining strong relationships with community stakeholders.
- Manages the Chapter Board: Effectively mobilizes support and resources around the Red Cross mission by developing and managing the chapter board.
- Develops and Manages Community Volunteer Leaders: Serves as the Face of the Red Cross in assigned territories, supports mission capacity building by developing key community partnerships, and recruits volunteers.
- Influences a Team Environment: Creates an environment of teamwork and inclusion to effectively deliver against the Red Cross mission.
- Education: Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- Skills & Abilities: Ability to work on a team, excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout the territory, state, and Red Cross system.
- Master's Degree: In the field of community organization, public or business administration, or non-profit management.
- Fundraising Experience: In the Western Kentucky market.
