Shift Timing: Monday to Friday, 3 days of 12-hour shifts
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee patient care strategies. Track, document, and relay patient status as necessary.
- Act as the primary liaison among various disciplines to ensure seamless patient care.
- Execute and implement physician and nursing directives.
- Evaluate and coordinate the discharge planning needs of patients with the healthcare team.
- Emergency Room RN with recent experience, valid licensure, and credentials including ACLS, BLS, MAB, NIHSS, PALS, and proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
- Willingness to work variable shifts: 3 PM - 3 AM and 7 PM - 7 AM.
- Familiarity with Epic software is preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Certification from the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
- Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification.
- Comprehensive understanding of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Ability to remain on feet for extended periods.
- Strong technical capabilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Dedication to patient care.
- Minimum of two years of current RN experience in an Emergency Room setting.
- One year of Telemetry RN experience.
- TNCC Certification.
- PALS certification.
- Graduation from an accredited RN program.
- Active, unrestricted RN license in Tennessee.
- One year of experience with Epic.
- Completion of COVID-19 vaccination series including two shots and a booster.
- Continuous updating of clinical knowledge and skills.
- Engagement in relevant continuing education opportunities.
- Commitment to delivering the highest standards of patient care and service excellence.
- Ability to take initiative and demonstrate independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative, team-oriented approach is essential, along with the ability to work autonomously and interact effectively with physicians, managers, and staff across the department and hospital.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, organizational abilities, and flexibility to manage multiple tasks.
