We are seeking a skilled Music Therapist to join our team at St. Croix Hospice. As a Music Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing music therapy services to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Music Therapy Services: Under the direction of our clinical supervisor or clinical director, you will provide music therapy services to patients and their families, according to their individualized plan of care.
- Assess Patient Needs: You will assess patients for appropriate medical indication for services and perform assessments to determine the effectiveness of therapy.
- Develop and Implement Therapy Plans: You will develop and implement music therapy interventions to assist patients with alleviating symptoms of anxiety, agitation, restlessness, depression, pain, emotional distress, spiritual distress, and social isolation.
- Collaborate with Clinical Team: You will work closely with our clinical team to provide education and awareness regarding the appropriateness or contraindications for therapy treatment.
- Maintain Accurate Records: You will maintain accurate records of patient interactions, including clinical notes, problem charting, and coordination notes.
- Graduate of an Accredited Music Therapy Program: You must be a graduate of an accredited music therapy program with a Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy.
- National Certification Exam: Completion and passing of the National Certification Exam (CBMT) credentials of MT-BC Music Therapy Board Certified is preferred.
- Licensed Driver: You must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state/or organization requirements and is in good working order.
