Position Overview:
The PRN Physical Therapist will play a crucial role in our healthcare delivery model, providing support for staff coverage as needed. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to enhance health and wellness among employees and their dependents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and wellness coaches, to promote comprehensive care.
- Adhere to APTA professional standards, integrating current research and patient values into treatment plans.
- Facilitate direct access to physical therapy services, ensuring patients receive care at the highest skill level.
- Engage in effective communication with team members and referral sources to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in ongoing professional development through peer reviews and presentations.
- Develop and implement injury prevention and health promotion programs tailored to the needs of the workforce.
Examples of Initiatives:
- Conduct musculoskeletal screenings and workshops for athletic preparation.
- Offer educational sessions on proper body mechanics and ergonomics.
- Create specialized programs based on identified needs within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licenses and certifications to practice physical therapy.
- Degree from an accredited Physical/Occupational Therapy program.
- Current CPR certification, including hands-on evaluation.
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of three years in an outpatient physical therapy setting, with a focus on orthopedic care.
