Job Title: Associate, Financial Planning

Jupiter Power is a leading energy infrastructure company focused on the development, construction, and operation of energy storage assets in wholesale electricity markets. As a key member of our financial operations team, you will play a critical role in providing financial insights and projections to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Coordinate with various departments to gather inputs and prepare results for annual budgets, periodic forecasts, and long-term strategic planning scenarios
  • Conduct variance analyses against budgets/forecasts and analyze financial performance to identify trends and key performance indicators
  • Partner with the accounting team during the close process, reviewing departmental general ledgers for accuracy and providing P&L and cash variance explanations
  • Serve as a finance liaison to departments, supporting their initiatives and providing general financial inquiries
  • Evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives, projects, and potential investments
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in planning and reporting by implementing best practices and automation in models and processes
  • Prepare financial reports, presentations, and other management reporting needs for senior management
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • CFA or CPA preferred
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Experience developing financial reports and metrics
  • Experience with Sage or similar accounting software
