New graduates from an accredited radiography program lacking ARRT primary certification are required to obtain certification and registration as an R.T.(R)(ARRT) within one year of graduation from an approved program.
Skills/Competencies:
- Fundamental understanding of radiographic machinery and imaging techniques.
- Ability to effectively communicate and engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Basic familiarity with radiology information systems (RIS, HIS, and PACS preferred).
- Conducts high-quality radiologic procedures utilizing appropriate technical and safety protocols.
- Accountable for monitoring adherence to regulatory standards, quality benchmarks, compliance activities, and established policies and procedures.
- Efficiently manages resources including supplies and equipment, ensuring effective planning and execution of job responsibilities.
- Exhibits professional conduct and exceptional customer service in all interactions.
- This position does not include supervisory or leadership responsibilities, although the incumbent may occasionally demonstrate various job functions to other associates and provide guidance to student technologists.
- This role may involve physical activities such as climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motions.
- Must maintain good balance and coordination.
- The physical demands of this position are classified as medium work, requiring the ability to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force frequently.
- The associate must possess close visual acuity, including color and depth perception, to perform tasks such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing computer screens, or extensive reading.
- Frequent interaction with patients, both invasive and non-invasive.
