Job Summary

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for delivering patient care in the pre-hospital setting, providing emergency medical treatment and transport to the sick and injured.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver patient care under the guidelines of the Tennessee Department of Public Health – EMS Board and the Georgia Department of Public Health – Office of EMS and Trauma.
  • Provide emergency medical treatment and transport to the sick and injured under the treatment protocols set forth and approved by the Director of EMS and the Medical Director.
  • Document all patient care performed in the approved Patient Care Report program using the required format.
  • Ensure that all required paperwork is completed and turned in by end of shift.
  • Ensure that equipment is in a state of readiness and cleanliness at the beginning of each shift and the ambulance is fully stocked in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Report any deficiencies and/or mechanical issues with supplies, equipment, or vehicle to a supervisor in a timely fashion.
  • Attend any required education that is deemed necessary by the Director or the Medical Director.
  • Be responsible for licensure and the required education for renewal.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Paramedic science.
  • Tennessee Paramedic license or Georgia Paramedic license.
  • National Registry License.
  • American Heart Association – BLS / Health Care Provider certification.
  • American Heart Association – ACLS certification.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Pediatric certifications.
  • Trauma certifications.
  • Driving courses.
