About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team of dedicated professionals who share your passion for delivering high-quality care and support. As a Caregiving Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in various aspects of their daily lives, including:

  • Distributing medications and ensuring timely administration
  • Cooking healthy meals and maintaining a clean living environment
  • Providing intimate care and assisting with personal hygiene
  • Encouraging independence and promoting self-directed living

You'll work closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and preferences, developing personalized support plans to help them achieve their goals. Your attention to detail, empathy, and strong communication skills will make all the difference in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills and ability to learn agency applications
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and patience
  • Have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (some positions may be available for non-drivers)
  • Possess enhanced math skills, including budgeting and basic math transactions
  • Speak English fluently (reasonable accommodation may be made for some positions)

Additionally, you'll need to pass a required DHS background check and Protective Service Investigations. Many positions require certification in CPR and the Oregon Intervention System, which we'll provide training for if hired.
