The Program Manager will oversee the daily operational activities of the design program. This role involves providing leadership and direction to a team, ensuring that technology initiatives are executed efficiently and effectively for users. The manager will ensure that programs and projects align with the overarching technology strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Initiatives: Manage Information Technology initiatives for the designated program. Allocate resources to project teams to fulfill deliverables.
- IT Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to established policies, standards, and guidelines governing IT systems.
- Program Maintenance: Supervise work and personnel within the assigned program to maintain consistent processes and quality standards.
- Execute Program: Lead staff in executing daily processes associated with specific IT functions. Engage with peer supervisors and IT Portfolio Managers to meet user needs.
- Manage Programs and Projects: Plan, oversee, and implement the delivery of technology projects or services. Manage staff assignments and priorities, develop training plans, and recommend new technologies.
- Strategic Management: Collaborate with peers and subordinates to define the strategic direction for the technology program. Assess tools and prioritize work efforts with stakeholders.
- Business Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for enhancing business processes through technology solutions and create tools to facilitate increased efficiency.
- Reporting: Provide updates on project plans, timelines, and progress. Participate in strategic planning for programs and projects.
- Ensure Compliance: Manage compliance and ensure that staff adhere to necessary policies and procedures.
- Improve Processes: Track operational metrics for assigned IT functions and utilize this data to enhance specific processes.
Required Skills:
- Proven ability to supervise technical staff and manage multiple complex projects.
- Effective communication skills, both oral and written, with diverse audiences.
- Experience in interpreting and applying policies in an IT context.
- Proficient in system analysis and design, with the ability to collect and present performance metrics.
- Expertise in IT Governance, Compliance, and IT Service Management.
- Knowledge in Application Development, Project Portfolio Management, or Data Management.
- Demonstrated skill in leading IT professionals in planning and implementing technology programs.
