Schneider is seeking an experienced Trucking Industry Training Professional to join our team as a Van Truckload Driver Trainer. In this role, you will provide training and support to our drivers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles. As a critical resource to both drivers and Operations, you will be responsible for evaluating essential driving skills and determining road readiness. Your expertise in commercial driving will be invaluable in providing hands-on training that meets curriculum requirements and driver needs. Additionally, you will work closely with Safety, Training Leadership, and Operations to solve issues identified during training and make recommendations for next steps. This is a full-time opportunity, with a competitive starting annual salary of $63,000, paid vacation time, and annual profit-sharing bonuses available. Job Description

The Van Truckload Driver Trainer will be responsible for providing training and support to our drivers, including:

  • Providing hands-on training that meets curriculum requirements and driver needs
  • Evaluating essential driving skills and determining road readiness
  • Working closely with Safety, Training Leadership, and Operations to solve issues identified during training and make recommendations for next steps
  • Supporting existing drivers by providing various training needs
  • Navigating a variety of coaching and training calls effectively and efficiently
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous instructor/training experience preferred
  • Ability to coach and mentor effectively in a team environment
  • Demonstrate a positive, professional attitude and the ability and willingness to accept change
  • Ability to learn, demonstrate, and train Schneider's company policies and procedures
  • Experience in Word, Excel, and other computer-based systems is a plus
