Leica Biosystems is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor - Second Shift to lead and manage the Wax Department. As a key member of the Operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring quality and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a shift of production during second shift, ensuring smooth operations and meeting production targets.
- Own the continuous improvement culture for the value stream, including Daily Management, Problem-Solving Process (PSP), and other lean manufacturing initiatives.
- Manage a team of associates for Wax production, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, or 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in an FDA or ISO-regulated manufacturing environment, or previous people leadership experience.
- Familiarity with leading and facilitating lean manufacturing or continuous improvements, with a proven track record of sustained results.
