Oncology Practice Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Oncology Practice Nurse to join our team at Baystate Health. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to individuals with cancer and their families.
Job Summary:The Oncology Practice Nurse will work closely with physicians, infusion staff, clinic staff, radiation staff, and other disciplines to coordinate patient care and facilitate patient flow throughout the care continuum. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care and support to individuals with cancer and their families
- Coordinate patient care and facilitate patient flow throughout the care continuum
- Work closely with physicians, infusion staff, clinic staff, radiation staff, and other disciplines to ensure seamless care delivery
- Triages patient calls, assesses clinical problems, and implements plans related to patient needs
- Facilitates referrals to appropriate disciplines or services, including home care services and transitions to palliative care or hospice
- MA RN License and BLS CPR Required
- BSN preferred and 3-5 years of nursing experience required
- Oncology experience and knowledge of oncology care, protocols, and related supportive measures preferred
