We are currently seeking a skilled Project Manager to serve as the client's representative for various capital projects. This role involves collaborating with external engineering consultants and contractors to ensure project success.

This position requires a presence on-site throughout the week, as it entails overseeing in-plant operations. Candidates should possess a minimum of 15 years of experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, or Coating sectors.

Compensation:
$125,000 - $175,000

Location:
South of Columbus, OH

Work Schedule:
(7:45 AM - 3:45 PM) Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:
As the Project Manager, you will be accountable for:
1. Overseeing all aspects of Professional Engineering projects in alignment with established schedules and budgets.
2. Leading and coordinating an engineering design team and/or subcontractor activities in accordance with project/client protocols, scope of work, cost management, and contract specifications.
3. Acting as the primary liaison with the client for all project-related communications.
4. Anticipating project staffing requirements and contributing to the selection of project team members.
5. Setting objectives and providing performance feedback for team members.
6. Collaborating with clients to define project scope, resolve conflicts, and foster strong relationships.
7. Promoting and adhering to safety policies and those of our clients.
8. Documenting and implementing changes in project scope.
9. Identifying potential issues and collaborating with clients, engineering teams, OEMs, subcontractors, and project personnel to develop corrective measures.
10. Serving as a technical resource for the team and mentoring junior engineers and designers.
11. Developing concepts and presenting options to address complex process challenges.
12. Coordinating feasibility studies, cost estimates, detailed designs, and project execution.
13. Preparing and delivering technical presentations to clients regarding project-related matters.
14. Ensuring compliance with quality control procedures.
15. Leading data collection, design reviews, installations, start-ups, and troubleshooting efforts associated with project work.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (other degrees may be considered based on relevant project experience).
2. A minimum of 5 to 15 years of project management or engineering experience in Chemical, Petrochemical, or Coatings sectors, including oversight of scope, budget, schedule, and construction.
3. Strong collaborative skills and the ability to build effective relationships.
4. Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
5. A positive attitude and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
6. Willingness to travel as necessary for fieldwork and other business objectives.
7. Proficiency in MS Project, Word, Excel, and the ability to review drawings using various CAD software.
8. Experience in managing contractors and vendors, as well as multi-million dollar engineering service projects.

Preferred:
Professional Engineer (PE) License
