About the Role

Grand Itasca is seeking a skilled Retail Staff Pharmacist to join our team. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense and control medications, including prescriptions and non-prescriptions
  • Advise customers on general healthcare questions and provide medicinal consultation
  • Prepare and supervise preparation of medications, including liquid medicines, ointments, powders, tablets, and other medications
  • Check prescriptions for correct dosage, drug interactions, and incompatibilities
  • Store and preserve vaccines, serums, and other drugs
  • Record prescriptions dispensed and the issue of poisons, narcotics, and other restricted drugs
Requirements
  • Current Minnesota pharmacy license in good standing
  • Maintain required continuing education for licensure
  • Previous retail experience preferred
  • Compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, codes, and standards of Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital
  • Demonstrate participation in Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital's Mission, Vision, and Values
