Job Summary:

The CNC Set-up/Master Programmer will be responsible for setting up jobs on CNC machines, repairing problems that operators cannot fix, operating the CNC machines, gaging parts, and maintaining a clean work area. This role requires strong programming skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a safety-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up jobs on CNC machines and ensure accurate programming
  • Repair machines and assist operators with repairs
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including routine maintenance
  • Check parts off machine to ensure compliance with print specifications
  • Clean work area, including mopping
  • Perform various maintenance activities
  • Work with office and supporting departments
Qualification Requirements:
  • 6+ years of setup experience on CNC machines
  • Ability to long hand program a part from a blueprint
  • Understanding of speeds and feeds with different tools
  • Ability to read non-digital micrometers and blueprints
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
  • Basic mathematics skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Physical Demands:
  • Sit, stand, and walk on oily surfaces
  • Moving material routinely
  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
