TCS (Trauma Care Services Med Surg Department).
In this role, you will be
responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care provided to a 36-bed unit, which includes pre-post Heart Catheterization and general surgery patients. This unit handles patients with conditions such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, HD, ESRD, DM, COPD, and pneumonia, as well as Med Surg patients involved in car accidents, falls, and broken bones.

You will develop and implement individualized patient care plans in accordance with nursing practice standards through the application of the nursing process and nursing diagnosis.
You will administer medications as prescribed for a specific group of patients, demonstrating knowledge of their modes of action, side effects, and contraindications.
You will initiate, regulate, and manage IV therapy for your assigned patients.
You will take responsibility for patient placement on the unit and assignment of care responsibilities, considering the complexity of nursing care required by each patient.
You will assess the patient environment for safety and communicate identified concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
You will provide patient education and keep patients informed of their treatment plans.
What qualifications you will need:
This position is within the Trauma Care Services department.
- Graduate from an Accredited School of Nursing.
- BSN preferred.
Specialty Certification where required:
e.g., Chemotherapy; ACLS; PALS.
- Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Compliance with hospital employee health, infection control, and safety management programs.
- Current acute clinical care experience preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Nevada.
- Independently maintains license.
- Acquires required contact hours to maintain practice.
