Role Overview:
- As a Pediatric Neurologist, you will be providing specialized care.
- Standard working hours: Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM.
- Your duties will include both inpatient and outpatient pediatric neurology services.
- Engagement in outreach initiatives to serve rural populations is part of the role.
- You will collaborate with nursing staff and various specialties throughout your workday.
- Oversight of the pediatric neurology service at a partner facility will be required for a few weeks each year.
Key Duties:
- Provide comprehensive patient care, including evaluations, diagnostics, and treatment plans.
- Prescribe necessary medications and therapeutic strategies.
- Work collaboratively with advanced practice registered nurses.
- Coordinate care activities with nursing and support personnel.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Completion of a residency in Pediatrics.
- Completion of a fellowship in Pediatric Neurology.
- Board certification or eligibility in Pediatric Neurology.
- Eligibility for a medical license.
- Authorized to practice in the United States.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong communication abilities within a collaborative environment.
- Commitment to teamwork and patient-centered care.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications and a willingness to learn new technologies.
