Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Select Physical Therapy in Brazil. As an Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for implementing high-quality occupational therapy services for patients, caregivers, and facilities in accordance with the principles and practices of occupational therapy and with NovaCare/Select Physical Therapy policies and procedures.

• Develop objective patient goals and establish the type, frequency, and duration of occupational therapy in collaboration with the referring physician.
• Responsible for the supervision and delegation of the occupational therapy care for each patient within the guidelines of state rules and federal regulations.
• Responsible for the alteration of each patient's program as changes in the patient's status occur.
• Participate in student clinical affiliation programs in agreement with the company's student manual.
• Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment programs.
• Communicate pertinent patient information to referring physicians, staff, employers, insurance carriers, and rehabilitation specialists.

• Understand appropriate state practice acts and adhere to the laws that govern how occupational therapists may practice and whom occupational therapists may supervise.
• Complete and maintain all corporate and clinical services required training and maintain compliance with state/local/federal regulations.
• Evaluate, treat, and direct treatment for patients for whom physical therapy is medically necessary and document this need clearly.
• Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payors at all times.
