Our team is responsible for ensuring set-up and tear-downs for events are completed according to specifications in a safe and timely manner.

They are also responsible for basic maintenance and upkeep of both the building and property.

Our facilities team must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities.

Additionally, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year.

EVERGREEN ROLE:

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.

The 15,000+ seat downtown arena is home to the UConn Women's Basketball team and the UConn Men's Basketball team.

Led by Hall of Fame basketball Head Coach Geno Auriemma and Dan Hurley, the Men's & Women's basketball programs have established themselves as national powerhouses.

The XL Center is also home to the AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, the primary developmental affiliate of the New York Rangers.

The XL Center entertains millions of visitors annually with a variety of concerts, family shows, ice-skating spectaculars, consumer events, and trade shows throughout the season.

Responsibilities include:

  • Arriving for work on time for each scheduled shift, in uniform and ready to work
  • Must be able to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Performing daily operations and general building maintenance during non-event days
  • Prior landscaping or snow removal experience preferred
  • Prior forklift training preferred
