Intern Responsibilities:
1. **Engage in the daily editorial workflow:**
- Involvement in planning, researching, gathering news, logging, writing, and editing.
2. **Acquire knowledge of editorial and technical news gathering:**
- Shadowing producers and assignment editors to understand the intricacies of news production.
3. **Create individual news segments:**
- Develop personal news stories for demo reels and online platforms.
4. **Participate in studio sessions:**
- Engage in anchor sessions to gain firsthand experience.
5. **Assist on the assignment desk:**
- Research viewer calls and tips to support news gathering efforts.
6. **Develop special project opportunities:**
- Create and execute individual projects that showcase your skills.
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
- Currently pursuing an Associate, Bachelor, or Graduate degree at an accredited institution, with documentation available to verify progress.
- Must be a sophomore or higher (30 credits completed).
- Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Authorized to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship.
- Ability to work on-site.

- Previous internship experience or active involvement in campus activities.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities.

The hourly compensation for student interns is $17.50.
