Join Performance Food Group as a Warehouse General Manager and lead the warehouse management team in ensuring the safety, productivity, and efficiency of warehouse operations. This role is responsible for supervising the efficient operations of the warehouse, communicating company information and team encouragement to employees on a daily basis.
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of warehouse operations and distribution, experience in forecasting and project management, and general mechanical and mathematic skills. They should also be able to analyze data, review operational information, and make suggested changes to improve operational performances.
As a key member of our team, you will collaborate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of standard operations procedures for warehousing. You will ensure that equipment is in proper working condition and arrange service actions when needed, observe warehouse employee productivity and quality, and develop action plans designed to support and improve them.
This role requires strong leadership skills, including providing instruction, discipline/coaching/mentoring and motivation as needed to maintain morale and encourage teamwork, pride, and quality performance. You will handle employee concerns, making sure consistent practices are followed, monitor the security of the warehouse, and review operational flows through shifts and communicate with supervisors to gauge progress.
