Maternal Fetal Medicine Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Service Representative to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine team at Women's Health Arizona. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities- Patient Check-In and Check-Out: Greet patients in a courteous and professional manner, verify patient demographic and insurance information, and assist with completing registration forms.
- Appointment Scheduling: Schedule patient appointments accurately, ensuring appropriate time slots and provider availability, and coordinate scheduling of follow-up appointments and referrals.
- Insurance Verification and Authorization: Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits, and obtain pre-authorizations and referrals as required by insurance plans.
- Patient Communication: Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide information regarding appointment scheduling, practice policies, and services offered.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, faxing, scanning, and organizing medical records, and maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area and waiting room.
- At least 1 year of OBGYN and/or MFM experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification in healthcare administration preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a customer service or administrative role in healthcare or medical office setting.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in using computer software applications, electronic health records (EHR) systems, and office equipment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and HIPAA regulations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients and their families.
