About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sushi Cook to join our team at Kissaki. As a Sushi Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality sushi dishes to our discerning guests.
Key Responsibilities- Sushi Preparation: Prepare and cook sushi daily in front of high-profile guests, ensuring exceptional presentation and quality.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and attentive interactions with guests and coworkers, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Inventory Management: Organize and manage inventory of ingredients, including fish, maki, sides, and other necessary items.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with the head chef to create new and innovative sushi dishes for our ever-changing menu.
- Sushi Bar Setup: Set up and maintain the sushi bar, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced sushi restaurant.
- Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to work well under pressure, and basic English language skills.
- Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, talk, and hear; frequently required to walk, reach, and stoop; must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
