Dormitory Supervisor

About the Job

As a Dormitory Supervisor with Adams and Associates, Inc., you will play a vital role in providing a safe, clean, and structured living environment for students. This position requires excellent leadership and communication skills, as you will oversee the daily management of the dorm area, supervise residential staff, and ensure the physical security of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordinate staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised, including maintaining an active list of substitute Residential Advisors.
2. Interview, recommend for hire, discipline, and evaluate the performance of residential staff.
3. Oversee student dorm leadership program and ensure all staff adhere to rest and meal break requirements.
4. Provide transportation for students as needed and maintain accurate records of incidents and shift reports.
5. Initiate work orders for necessary repairs and maintain adequate levels of inventory.
6. Employ sound time-management and delegation skills to motivate and empower staff to perform their job responsibilities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate of Arts Degree from an accredited school preferred.
• A minimum of one-year Job Corps or related program experience required.
• A valid in-State Drivers License preferred.
• Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
