Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Prepared Foods Dishwasher-Part Time to join our team at Whole Foods Market - Savannah. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our food preparation areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and small wares to ensure a clean and safe environment for our customers and team members.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of floors, mats, drains, walls, and shelves in the kitchen area, adhering to our high standards of sanitation and safety.
  • Assist with kitchen deliveries, including proper storage, organization, and rotation of products to ensure efficient and effective inventory management.
  • Arrive on time, appropriately groomed, dressed, and ready to work, and work all scheduled shifts and attend required trainings and meetings.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner, and model suggestive selling techniques to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Maximize sales potential through effective and proper procedures for prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising product to meet customer demands and expectations.
  • Follow and comply with established procedures, including weights and measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment, and ensure that equipment is maintained in accordance with our cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Perform opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned, and ensure accuracy of signs and pricing to maintain a positive customer experience.
  • Immediately report safety hazards and violations to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.

  • Ability to follow directions and procedures, and demonstrate effective time management and organization skills.
  • Passion for natural foods and the mission of Whole Foods Market to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to meet customer demands and expectations.
  • Understanding of and compliance with Whole Foods Market quality goals to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds to perform tasks and duties.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday to meet customer demands and expectations.
  • Must be able to use hands to grasp, manipulate, push, and pull objects to perform tasks and duties.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency to meet customer demands and expectations.
  • Must be able to work in wet and dry conditions to perform tasks and duties.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet customer demands and expectations.
  • Must be able to use tools and equipment, including knives, box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery to perform tasks and duties.
  • May require use of ladders to perform tasks and duties.
