Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Technician to join our team at Henry County, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial building construction, maintenance, and repair, and will be able to perform a variety of tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and mechanical repair work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled and semi-skilled work in the maintenance, repair, and/or renovation of County buildings and facilities
  • Read blueprints or other design drawings to determine work to be performed
  • Perform rough and finish carpentry, painting, plumbing, and mechanical work
  • Perform building maintenance, renovations, and repair tasks
  • Perform various electrical tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical problems
  • Perform various plumbing tasks, including troubleshooting and repairing plumbing problems
  • Maintain door locks and controlled access
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable laws, codes, regulations, and standards
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of related experience in commercial building construction, maintenance, and repair
  • Valid Georgia driver's license
  • EPA certification preferred
Working Conditions

The work is medium work, requiring exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The work may require standing for extended periods of time and may involve exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
