Company Overview: Amergis Healthcare Staffing is in search of a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist to work within educational settings. The selected candidate will be tasked with conducting student assessments and delivering therapy services tailored to each student's unique needs, following the prescribed care plans and physician directives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students' communication abilities, including articulation, fluency, voice, and both expressive and receptive language skills, to identify communication disorders and establish treatment recommendations.
  • Engage with various stakeholders to share information, address concerns, and ensure compliance with established protocols.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings for eligible students, such as IEPs and parent conferences, to discuss evaluation outcomes and treatment strategies.
  • Create individualized treatment plans and educational resources aimed at reducing the impact of communication disorders, adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Instruct students on the effective use of communication aids and technologies to enhance their educational experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, including progress reports and treatment documentation, to ensure compliance and accessibility of information.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and collaborative meetings to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide targeted speech and language therapy to support student achievement and mitigate the effects of communication challenges.
  • Adhere to the policies and regulations set forth by the Governing Board and relevant educational authorities.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Professional Educator License as a Speech Language Pathologist in the relevant state.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a student-focused environment.
  • Other qualifications as determined by the Governing Board.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
