We are currently seeking a Sustainable Energy Consultant to join our Emerging Technologies division. This role will focus on supporting energy efficiency and demand-side management initiatives. The successful candidate will engage in technology-to-market projects that advocate for innovative technologies and strategies aimed at reducing energy consumption in various facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert technical support for program outreach and client engagement.
  • Investigate and assess cutting-edge methods for enhancing energy efficiency, demand response, energy resilience, and renewable energy integration.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports summarizing project scope, energy savings methodologies, measurement and verification (M&V) activities, and key recommendations.
  • Utilize analytical tools and M&V techniques to assess system performance and propose enhancements.
  • Research relevant codes, standards, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct site inspections to gather data and perform functional testing to evaluate existing systems.
  • Develop project-specific M&V plans to substantiate energy savings claims.
  • Install and remove data collection equipment as necessary.
  • Perform detailed energy and financial analyses using appropriate software tools.
  • Keep senior management and project teams updated on project timelines and progress.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in energy engineering or design engineering, particularly in HVAC or process engineering.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, with a preference for Mechanical Engineering.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills are essential, as extensive reports are a standard deliverable.
  • Experience in energy-related fields such as energy efficiency, distributed energy generation, project economics, renewable energy, and HVAC systems is preferred.
  • Practical knowledge of various systems in commercial and industrial settings is necessary.
  • Experience in presenting findings to diverse audiences is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with measurement and verification techniques is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in energy analysis software, particularly MS Excel, is required.
  • Reliable transportation is necessary for travel to client sites.
