As a Child Welfare Specialist with Oklahoma Human Services, you will play a vital role in protecting the safety and well-being of children and families. The estimated annual salary for this position is $41,403.19, plus comprehensive state employee benefits. In addition to a competitive salary, successful candidates can also earn a 5% salary incentive if they possess a Master's Degree in Social Work. On-call positions may also receive an additional bonus ranging from $2,600 to $3,900 every two weeks, depending on responsibilities.
This position is ideal for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are willing to travel extensively throughout the state. As a Child Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for investigating allegations of child abuse or neglect, providing services to help families overcome barriers that put their children at risk, and developing treatment plans to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families.
To be eligible for this position, you must meet one of the following qualifications: complete 90 hours from an accredited college or university, have three years of experience related to child welfare work, or possess a combination of education and experience. A bachelor's degree or higher is required, as well as a valid driver's license and car insurance.
