RESPONSIBILITIES: The selected candidate will engage in several key areas:
- Lead choral ensembles and serve as a vital member of the choral conducting faculty.
- Instruct undergraduate and secondary conducting students in the School of Music, while also mentoring graduate choral conducting majors.
- Collaborate in the development and instruction of a new initiative focused on choral music education, aimed at equipping students for part-time roles in children and youth choral music within local educational and religious institutions.
The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative spirit and contribute actively to the interdisciplinary efforts of the Institute of Sacred Music. Faculty members are expected to maintain a professional profile that reflects their commitment to excellence in teaching and performance.
APPOINTMENT: This role is for an Assistant or Associate Professor (adjunct) with an initial appointment period of three to five years, contingent upon qualifications. The position is eligible for renewal following a review process.

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should demonstrate a proven trajectory towards a distinguished career as a performing artist and educator. A strong dedication to the performance and interdisciplinary teaching of sacred music is essential, along with a successful track record in choral conducting education. Preference will be given to those with substantial experience in K-12 choral music education and/or teacher training. A Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
