St. David's HealthCare is seeking a skilled Postpartum Nurse to join our Austin Market Float Pool team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to new mothers and their families in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide patient care for all assigned patients in the Postpartum unit.
  • Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of patients and families, developing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Provide family-centered patient teaching, identifying and correcting variances from the care plan as needed.
  • Facilitate discharge planning and teaching to ensure a smooth transition for patients and families.
  • Administer medications accurately and document patient responses to interventions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Postpartum setting.
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program.
  • Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
  • NIH Stroke Certification required.
  • Registered Nurse, Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics (RNC-OB) certification preferred.
