In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming our software development processes. With over two decades of experience, we have integrated a variety of tools and technologies into our operations, including build servers, artifact storage, container registries, and more.

Your expertise will be essential in developing the next generation of our infrastructure, ensuring that our teams can effectively utilize these resources.

As part of our commitment to compliance and security, you will collaborate with a dedicated IT team to ensure that our corporate technology adheres to necessary standards. Your role will involve creating secure and flexible solutions that meet both regulatory requirements and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and deploy enhancements to existing software.
  • Manage and optimize our expanding infrastructure, both on-premises and in cloud environments, to guarantee high performance and availability.
  • Automate and streamline operational processes to improve efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Assist Software Engineers in building, testing, and deploying applications.
  • Develop and execute disaster recovery plans for our development environment.
  • Design and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions utilizing cloud services.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot to ensure seamless operations.
  • Implement security best practices in all infrastructure and software development activities.
  • Stay informed about industry trends to enhance our DevOps practices.
  • Select and maintain tools for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
  • Monitor systems for security threats to maintain operational integrity.

Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • 8+ years of experience in Linux System Administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in the software development lifecycle.
  • 5+ years of proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and architectural concepts.
  • Experience in deploying and supporting internally developed applications.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMWare and Hyper-V.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and containerization.
  • Ability to write scripts for task automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages.
  • Familiarity with NIST standards.
  • Experience in Windows System Administration.
  • Understanding of network protocols and security measures.
  • Experience in database management.

Education:
A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.

Clearance:
A Secret Clearance will be required for this position (not necessary to start). Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation.
