Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Security and Protection: Assist and protect persons and property, ensuring hospital regulations and procedures are followed.
  • Screen and Respond to Incidents: Screen visitors, investigate incidents, and respond to requests for security/safety support.
  • Escort and Liaise: Escort and serve as a liaison between hospital and police, funeral directors, coroner agents, and/or other community members.
  • Log and Report Activity: Log and report both routine and unusual activity.
  • Patrol and Maintain Property: Patrol both interior and exterior property, addressing items that require attention.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to all populations encountered.
  • Enforce Parking Policy: Survey the property to ensure the parking policy is being practiced; issue parking tickets to those not adhering to the policy.
  • Identify and Address Hazards: Survey the property to identify and address hazardous situations.
  • Issue Identification Badges: Provide identification badges when needed.
Credentials and Requirements
  • Driver's License: Valid Driver's License required.
  • Crisis Prevention Institute Certification: Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification within one year of employment.
  • Handcuffing Certification: Handcuffing certification with one year of certification.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: H.S. Diploma/GED required.
  • Criminal Justice Education Preferred: Criminal Justice Education preferred.
