Job Title: Per Diem Dispensing Nurse

We are seeking a detail-oriented and empathetic Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team as a Per Diem Dispensing Nurse. As a key member of our treatment team, you will be responsible for dispensing prescribed medications to patients in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer daily medication to patients in accordance with program policy and medical protocols.
  • Use automated dispensing systems, calibrate pumps, and maintain dispensing equipment to ensure accurate and timely medication delivery.
  • Produce and maintain accurate records and reports as required by company protocol, federal and state regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards for the distribution and storage of controlled substances as set forth in the Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Order, receive, and stock medication in accordance with DEA and state regulations (if granted Power of Attorney).
  • Provide daily assessments of patients to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Assist the Nursing Supervisor in orienting new nursing staff.
  • Perform other related duties as determined by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • Current and good standing LPN/LVN license in the state of Maryland.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • EMR and computer proficiency desired.
  • Experience in chemical dependency preferred, self-motivated and directed, with a positive attitude toward individuals in substance abuse treatment.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
