About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced High School Teacher to join our team at Mobile County Public School System. As a High School Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching in a certified area and serving as the head football coach. Coaching duties are supplementary and secondary to teaching duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain a positive learning environment that promotes academic excellence and student growth.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and community groups.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices.
- Supervise and mentor students in a safe and supportive environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives.
- Meet the requirements of the Salary Schedule to receive the coaching supplement.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid Alabama Teaching Certificate.
- Previous football coaching experience.
Working Conditions:
This is a year-round coaching position with additional responsibilities during the summer for an additional supplement.
