Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) team as a Coordinator for the ECMO Program. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our ECMO Program.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective strategies to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction in the CVU.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient flow.
- Provide education and training to staff members on ECMO-related topics and best practices.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and safety of patient care.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of ECMO policies, protocols, and guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Master's degree in Nursing required.
- 3 years of clinical experience in a specialty area, preferably in CVU or ECMO.
- Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment or multistate RN license through the Interstate Nurse Licensure Compact.
