Banquet Captain

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Sheraton Maui Resort & Spa. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless service delivery during events and functions.

• Communicate effectively with chefs, stewards, and other team members to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Total charges for group functions and prepare and present checks to group contacts for payment.
• Ensure banquet rooms, restaurants, and coffee breaks are ready for service, and that proper centerpieces are displayed on every table.
• Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and set tables according to type of event and service standards.
• Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 2 years of related work experience, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Physical stamina to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
