Reliability Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Industrial Resource Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reliability Analysis and Improvement: Conduct detailed reliability analysis on equipment, systems, and processes to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies to optimize equipment performance.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analysis tools and techniques to assess equipment performance and reliability metrics. Interpret and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders to inform decision-making.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Lead root cause analysis investigations to identify and address underlying issues affecting reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintenance Planning: Work closely with maintenance teams to develop and optimize maintenance plans based on reliability analysis. Implement predictive and preventive maintenance practices to minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and engineering, to drive continuous improvement in reliability. Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of reliability data, analyses, and improvement initiatives. Generate regular reports for management on reliability performance and recommended actions.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training and guidance to maintenance and operational teams on best practices for improving equipment reliability. Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate relevant advancements into the reliability program.
  • Asset Management: Contribute to the development and implementation of asset management strategies. Assist in identifying opportunities for equipment upgrades or replacements to enhance overall reliability.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all reliability initiatives adhere to safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives for the entire manufacturing process. Seek opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve overall equipment effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Reliability Engineering role.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing settings is required.
