Key Responsibilities

A Laboratory Technician works closely with a Laboratory Technologist in the performance of diagnostic procedures. Procedures are performed efficiently and expeditiously. Laboratory Technicians may exercise limited independent judgment and work under the supervision of a Laboratory Technologist, Supervisor, or Director.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
  • Associates degree in MLT or related field (Required)
  • Certificate training program at an approved school for Medical Technician level training leading to state licensure

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Current Florida License TC - Laboratory Clinical Technician

Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required

  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English
  • Previous laboratory experience preferred
  • This position requires working every other Sunday and Saturday rotation
