Job Title: Billing Analyst

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Analyst to join our team at Orrick. As a Billing Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage billing schedules and analyses
  • Maintain a portfolio of billing attorneys and ensure timely and accurate billing
  • Review and edit pre-bills in response to attorney and secretary requests
  • Process write-offs in accordance with Firm policy
  • Handle complex billing tasks, including multiple discounts and split-party billing
  • Effectively interact and communicate with attorneys, secretaries, and clients
  • Verify the accuracy of billing and supporting documentation
  • Research and respond to billing inquiries and issues
  • Collaborate with the applications team to create and implement new billing formats
  • Create and distribute monthly reports
  • Ensure adherence to Firm billing policies and confidentiality
  • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • College-level accounting classes or Accounting Degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 1-3 years of hands-on billing experience in a law firm
  • Experience with CMS, Elite, Javelan, or equivalent accounting software
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work demands

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive and competitive total compensation package, including a salary range of $45,000 to $57,000, an annual discretionary merit bonus, and a range of elective health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
