Job Opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist
Soliant is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to fill a full-time maternity leave position in a school district. This temporary opportunity requires 40 hours per week and involves working with elementary school students, ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in elementary school students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication goals and needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, to support their speech and language development.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to ensure coordinated and effective services for students.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided, progress reports, and other relevant records.
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights and recommendations for students' speech and language goals.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Previous experience working with elementary school-aged students, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a full-time caseload efficiently.
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices and interventions for speech and language disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
