The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will be engaged in a dynamic Level 1 Trauma Operating Room, which accommodates 18 beds. This role involves participating in a diverse range of surgical procedures, including but not limited to General Surgery, Robotic Surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery, Trauma Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Spinal Surgery, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastics, Burns, Urology, GYN, and Transplant Surgery.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver comprehensive care during surgical interventions.
- Function as both circulator and scrub nurse, with a primary focus on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery cases.
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation utilizing EPIC.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in ENT, GU, Plastics, and Burns.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an OR RN.
- Experience in Level 1 trauma centers with extensive scrub experience is preferred.
- Certification in EPIC and BCLS is required.
Shift: 3:00 PM - 3:30 AM (36 Hours/Week)
Unit Specific Information:- Operating Room capacity: 18 beds.
- Involvement in a wide variety of surgical procedures, with a significant emphasis on Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Spine, and General Surgery.
- Residency Declaration Form is necessary if utilizing a compact license from any state other than Ohio.
- Consult the UD/Unit Cost Center Link to ascertain required certifications per unit.
- Traveling nurses have the opportunity to renew ACLS and BLS certifications at the facility - please reach out to the designated Lead for further instructions.
